I am a new member of the Guild and showed my knives at my first ever knife show (as a seller) at the 2007 Knifemakers Guild Show. I want to thank all of the Guild members who welcomed me and have helped me along the way.
The Guild show was exciting and very informative. Being relatively unkown as a knifemaker I didn't sell a lot of knives but I did sell a few. I got to meet some new friends and visit with old friends. The Gala was a lot of fun and I thought the seminars on Sunday very informative.
I have been making knives off and on for a few years after getting started by taking one of Gil Hibbens knifemaking classes. During that time I would often go for weeks, or even months, with doing any knife work and primarily made knives for friends and family. I have now decided to get more serious about my knifemaking and dedicate a lot more time to it. The Guild goes a long way toward helping me develop my skills through education and sharing the experience of veteran knifemakers.
I just wanted to introduce myself for those who do not know me and thank you for welcoming me into the GUild.
