KMG Directors Gene Baskett and Edmund Davidson recently visited Louisville and spent a night at the new host of our 2009 Knifemakers' Guild show. Below are the comments they made. I just wanted to share this with everyone.

"Guys
I think that the Seelbach hotel will be a great hit with everyone. We had a great stay, When everything is completed with the hotel we will have them standing in line to get a table for the show.
The staff at the hotel were great, and the hotel in it self is a one of a kind stay.

"On Nov. 7th at 2:00 pm. I arrived at the Seelbach Hotel in
> downtown Louisville, Ky. Upon arrival the street facing the Hotel
> seemed small and tight, but the Hotel staff moves things along with
> precision so there was no delay at all....Once inside one quickly
> realizes why this facility is host to 4 and 5 Weddings each weekend
> and why Presidents and celebrities are coming for visits....Gene
> Basket and his wife were already there and Gil and Linda soon
> arrived....Linda had set an appointment with Mike Claravall, the Sales
> Manager, for a tour of the facility.....Mike took us through the Ball
> rooms, the Hotel rooms and the Rathskeller in the Basement....One of
> the great things is when you leave the front lobby you are but a few
> yards to the main show ball room where the show will be held.... Mike
> also showed us where Al Capone would come in and go out when the
> Coppers were after him back in the day.... Also when the show is
> finished for the day, there is The Fourth Street Live right there with
> plenty of eats and entertainment... It is hard to believe that The
> Knife Makers Guild will have this Great Hotel to call it,s home for
> the next 5 years, but this is the case....If any one has any questions
> about the Hotel, please call us and we will be glad to answer
> them......Until then, Bee Kool. Edmund"
