Sad News

It is with a heavy heart that I just learned from Stan Fujisaka that the Guild has lost an new voting member, Mark Bucholtz from Hawaii. Mark died due to injuries from a motorcycle accident on Sunday evening, November 26. He is survived by his wife, Cherry. For those of you who never had the pleasure of meeting Mark, he was a bundle of positive energy. He moved from Eagle River, Alaska to Hawaii several years ago and bought a small coffee farm. He loved life and he loved making knives. He will be dearly missed. Cards from Guild members and friends can be sent to his wife:

Mark was a great guy. I spent a lot of time with him right through his Guild membership process & we had a lot of fun. Its ironic that Mark just one day quit his guiding & extensive flying carreer in Alaska because he felt if he kept flying something bad was about to happen. Im saddened by this tragedy & my heart gos out to his family & friends. I will miss this guy who was so full of life & adventure.

Mark was suppose to fly to Virgina a couple of days before the Guild show. We were suppose to go to the show together.

It wont be the same.
