Dear Folks,

I am new to this forum and hope I am not imposing or asking something stupid here, but don't know where else to go.

Problem: About 8 yrs. ago I purchased a knife from a vendor at a gun show. At that time he gave me the person's name and where he was from. I believe he was located in OK at that time. I cannot remember his name(old age),but the guy told me that this maker made knives for the DEA and only a few were being made for the general public. This is a fixed-blade knife. The makers mark is an R inside a circle with the last part of the R extending beyond the circumference of the circle. If anyone could give me some information about this maker, I would truly appreciate it.Thank you---Merry Christmas to all

Sincerely,
Steve Elliott

Hello steve, I can't help you. But Bernard Levine at
http://www.knife-expert.com/ might be able to.

Good Luck,

A.T.

Thanks much

Fell free to e mail me at bobby@brantonknives.com. I think he was out of circulation for a while. He used to get a lot of coverage in the now defunct Fighting Knives magazine.
I'll do some research for you and see what I can turn up.
Bobby

John, hope to see you at Blade first.

I was informed that Robert Rippy may have passed away several years ago. Does anyone know if this is a fact? I have one of his knives that I would like to find out more about. Thanks, Steve
